IN RESPONSE TO THE TOWN CENTRE NORTH SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT (SPD), THE MASTERPLAN IS BEING WORKED UP.

MASTERPLAN DESIGN    TIMELINE    ARTIST SKETCHES

Masterplan definition: A comprehensive plan that describes and maps the overall development concept for Town Centre North, including present and future land use, detailed urban design and landscaping, built form, infrastructure, circulation and service provision.

The masterplan aims to provide an attractive, high-quality and well designed environment. There will be high-quality shops, restaurants, cafes and leisure facilities, as well as new homes, squares and formal open spaces. A civic square will front a new Town Hall.

Pedestrian flow will be a key focus of the scheme to ensure it provides linkages to the existing facilities within the town.
